Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is Be The Church Sunday?
Through Be The Church Sunday, four area churches will come together, setting aside traditional worship services to unite in a coordinated day of outreach, serving both our local community and communities abroad. Be The Church Sunday is our opportunity, as followers of Jesus, to not just attend church, but to be the church. Throughout Scripture, Jesus is often found outside the temple, surprising people with His extravagant love. We seek to follow His example, sharing that same love and serving others beyond the church walls. In light of this, on Sunday, May 31, we will not hold our normal worship service. Instead, we will worship through service, joining together in community outreach with the goal of impacting more than 60,000+ lives.
When is Be The Church Sunday?
Be The Church Sunday will be Sunday, May 31st, 2026.
Why are we not having church service that Sunday?
We are not having service on Sunday, May 31st, 2026, so that we can come together as a unified body of believers, united in faith, to actively do the work of the church in our surrounding community.
How long will I need to serve?
This will depend on the service activity. Once you sign up, information on the time commitment will be provided closer to the day of the event. It is our desire to ensure that most people serving will only be serving between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. Nevertheless, we are open to working with whatever number of hours people can serve.
